No, I just missed the connection. The video confused me and I associated the pictures with H for Hen Wood Duck. Sorry.

Big Bad John might also reference the folk hero "John Henry" the "steel drivin' man" and subject of the famous song. However, that John Henry was a person of color, so he cannot be the model for the carving. In any case, it's clearly not John Henry the famous racehorse, probably named after the folk hero. There's also John Henry the multi-millionaire and.............

Reading, not an activity normally associated with frogs, but I'm sure when tricky wording comes along (Dr. Suess), mamma will be able to wrap her tongue around them.
