Hetaera above the chamber pot (ca 480 BCE). Oh dear, what have we here. "Hetaera" is a term meaning "courtesan" but maybe best translated as "geisha." Although there is some debate, "Hetaera" are thought to have been well-educated entertainers, providing witty conversation and pleasant company at male gatherings (a symposium) but who also supplied sex to selected clients. They are thought to have been a big step up from a "prostitute."

Ice, unfortunately someone has thrown trash onto this ice which is a half a mile hike into a nature area that is 5 or 6 miles from a town. Puzzling that someone went to that much trouble to find a place to drink.
