Can't believe I had time to notice we'd got to X, get inspiration, find the model, add back a few bits that'd fallen off, fix the rubber bands so the wings didn't droop, put it on my tripod, realise I needed the tripod for the camera, put in on my sax stand, add a counter-balance so it didn't fall off, take the pix, copy to the PC, PP them, GIMP out some remaining background, upload the result to flickr and still post ahead of someone with another pic of a bunch of crossed wires...

Phew!

We're all a bit scared of old X, or just waiting for someone to post something interesting instead of boring old X. Nice shot!

Yep, he is cute and I see him every day at Zoo Lake, and have known him since he was born, and have taken a few photos of him over the years-he is now 3, and warming more and more to me and my camera. Getting over his shyness too.
