Disembarkation basket. Where it was not possible for a large boat to get nearshore because of shallows, passengers were lowered in this contraption to a small shallow-draft launch to get ashore.

Pistol, three shot repeater, but non lethal. This is an early equivalent of mace. It fires special cartridges that produce a brilliant flash of light that is supposed to startle and temporarily blind an assailant, allowing the shooter to escape. It was replaced by a flash gun that used M3 bulbs
