Crab. Scan. My last post for a while as we must take Tralee to a specialist vet. Sadly, I have little hope for her.

I'm sorry to have to read that - I know the feeling and can only give my humblest condolences...

My thoughts go out to you and yours. Having lost the family dog around 5 years ago, and owning two dogs currently, it is one of the things I fear most. I hope the prognosis isn't as bad as you anticipate.

A little good news on Tralee. The specialist vet is 90% certain she is suffering from pancreatitis. It can be dangerous, even lethal, but it can sometimes be handled. It's a matter of reducing Tralee's discomfort so she's willing to eat and drink, then putting her on a special diet, basically very bland (=a lot of chicken & rice I suspect). She's staying at the vet's overnight, with view to getting her pain under control. If so, there's hope , if not.....
