Flowers photographed in a botanic garden in New Zealand more than a decade ago. No idea what this is called, but I liked the radial spray of the stems.

Heads up. All three turtles on alert. Although many people walk by here in the Summer, the turtles are still very aware of and quickly spooked by motion. Waving your arms will instantly send them into the water.

and I was keying on the action of the batter and catcher to decide when to start shooting to catch the action

you get a lot of throw away photos but it is the best way I know to capture action at a ball game
