Oh, this is beautiful. The vertical texture of the pines juxtaposed by the horizontal lines of the mountains - mesmerising.

Thank you . If you liked that one, you might like this one as well - again another pano in the Italian Dolomites .

That's very nice as well. Just as the one by Bill.mc. I want to go to the mountains now.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. It's one I'd like to have printed, but I don't know where I'd display it. Even my 28" monitor doesn't really do it justice. The full-size file is something like 75 MP. I do like how the distant mountains end up layered together when shooting scenes like this with a longer lens too.

Monitors, unless they are really wall sized dont seem to do justice to such magnificient panos. Large prints come near for not near enough to actually being there ! If I may ask, at what focal-lenght (35mm FF equ) was this pano made with ?

You're right, big prints are the best way to look at panoramas. I used a 105mm Sigma macro with my K3, so 35mm equivalent would be almost 160mm.

That is one sharp prime lens to use for a pano, I'm sure this will make a superb print that anyone would be proud of to be on his/her/their wall. Thanks for the additional information - appreciated.

Haven't done much posting (or photography for that matter). So, I've got some catching up to do.
