Here's a panorama more in line with the spirit of this thread, a five-file stitch.

I recognize that interesting moraine at the intersection of two glaciers; I once posted a very wide panorama of the same scene from a higher viewpoint.

Haven't done so many stitched panos lately, but recently did this one. Not by intention; panned the camera for a different composition, then only in post decided to stitch.

...
WRT your first point...I saw a recent tourism ad for "remote and wild" Newfoundland which included a windscarred small tree out on the remote tundra which I recognized as being about 20 yards from a parking area at Cape Spear National Monument here about 5 minutes away from city hall in St. John's.

It's a nice tree with all the wind exposure, though--I've photographed it myself!

I like your image better than my own. We were with a tour group with a number of elderly folk who had difficulty on very short walks, but even disallowing that, there was no time for climbing up to a better vantage as you did. BTW: The tour was organized by a garden club here in MessyChewBits so it's emphasis was on flowers/plant. Our tour guide from the extreme southern tip of south island was an outstanding botanist. I have images of many, many flowers & plants some of which I'm only now starting to process for posting. Wish I could name them all, but he would reel off common & scientific names so quickly there was no time to write them down. I brought along a tiny digital audio recorded anticipating such a difficulty, but it did not pick up his voice clearly enough to be of any use. For the first several days I would listen it at night and try to record the plant names in sequence so I could go back to and match the sequence of images to the sequence of plant names, but it was hopeless and so I gave up. So, I'm posting many flowers not with comments such as "nice bokeh behind this flower that I cannot name." BTW I recall him commenting that, if the flower is small and white, it's probably native. If it's big and colorful, it's probably an invasive alien.

Beautiful, and well worth the second thought.

Yes, all those lupines! And the flowering gorse, visible from thousands of feet above on an inter-island flight.

Pano by cropping. Do not disturb these animals. Big, strong, unpredictable, capable of being very aggressive.

Another unintentional panorama; panned the camera for a slightly different composition and ended up stitching the two shots together:

Not a perfect LR stitch - there are a couple of very small steps on the horizon - and I don't usually use such a wide angle for panos, but it was a very wide view (this is 10x portrait shots) K-1 + 24-70 @24

I have never seen such a dense grazing ratio.
