A vertical piano of about 5 exposures. I used a Pentax K5-II with a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 lens. 25 seconds, ISO 3200, f/2.8.

Here are some panoramas from our trip to South Africa two years ago. They are all portrait orientation stitches, processed with Hugin.

1) Table mountain from the waterfront in Cape Town
2) Knysna
3) Swartberg pass

4 shots pano with DA 21 Limited

3 shot composition. I like the rather dramatic perspective

Simon, the church shot, is it a vertical stitch or a horizontal one?
I rarely manage to get a proper pano of buildings, somehow none of the projection options seem to work

It's an horizontal stitch of three shots taken in portrait orientation with the DA21. The merging is done with Microsoft ICE (free software) . Right now i don't remember the projection i used...but i am sure i had to do a lot of trial and error...

I've attached 3 panoramas taken from a ship I worked on while unloading road salt in Milwaukee in February 2013
The first one is merge of 5 shots and the other 2 are merges of 3 shots
The shots for the first and second panorama were done with camera in the normal Landscape mode and the third was done with the camera sideways or portrait
All photos were stitched together with Photomerge - Panorama in Photoshop 2013

Yes it is the Algosteel. There was a great view from the top of the Loop Casing where the shots were taken
