Likewise. But I have a plan. Something like this.
What a great piece. Thanks for the link. That guy is a genius. As for your plan Craig, does a DA 35 f2.4 help? ;-)

I have albums with prints wedged in at odd angles - I could never bring myself to slice them up. A thousand blessings on the inventors of stitching software.

Unfortunately no, my plan is on a much lower budget. Need 1 more really cheap K-x with DAL (or DA) 18-55.

For some reason the maths doesn't work and overlaps are less than shown.

But the plan does advance:

Thanks, Des. Was on the stern of the ship as we were powering away.

Here is a link to an earlier post in this thread of what we were leaving behind.

Pillar Point, Wilsons Promontory NP, Victoria. K-S2 + DA 18-135, stitched with ICE. Squeaky Beach to the left, Norman Bay and Mt Oberon to the right.

(Don't look too closely or you'll see some joins. Every stitched pano I have tried that has sea in it seems to show the joins.)
That is so good that I am not worried about the joins. Hardly noticeable anyway!

Very nice image Tim. Stitching tele shots works really well.

Sounds like a good plan Craig. Will be exciting if you can make it work.

Thanks Ray. It was a fun effect to try. Here is a more conventional pano from the same walk on the Prom, also with the K-S2 + 18-135. Norman Bay and Mt Oberon.

Hi all
Been a long time since I have posted here. This is Cairns Harbour (Australia) on a hazy morning. 3 lots of 5 exposures, processed in Photomatix (Creative preset) then stitched with Panorama Studio. The originals were very low contrast except for the bright colours in the boat. Normally to get this effect I have blended colour and monochrome in Photoshop but this time it just straight from Photomatix.

This is a stitched panorama from the DA 21mm, taken from the balcony of a bakery/restaurant in Alquézar, north-east Spain which sits on the cliff face overlooking this canyon.

Cross-posted to the DA limited club.

The plan continues to advance (slowly):

First test with 2 cameras (please excuse the poor exposure and the dust bunny, the weather isn't the greatest). Merged in Photoshop.

As you will notice, there is a glitch in the cliff line. But it would have to be printed over 500mm (20") high before this was noticeable. I think it might be caused by a difference in focal length between the DA and DAL lenses at the 18mm end stop.

At least the waves join up.

Another K-x and DAL 18-55 should be arriving about Christmas day. Hope I don't need another DAL.

And I need to velcro an IR remote to the 'head' so I stop forgetting to bring one. (Doh!)

Nice! That view and a cup of coffee would be a really really nice start to the day.
