Thanks guys.

Lets say the site has great potential but I need to try again.

I blew out the clouds and should probably add a frame either side. Maybe I need a graduated ND filter.

Funnily the original stitch was not a panorama but was almost exactly 3:2 which is the standard 35mm aspect ratio. Cropping it loses the nice clouds in the upper right.

This image shows the original stitch with a touch of HDR via photoshop/Nik collection.

Cropping produced a much better balance - worth losing the clouds for.

I like using a C-PL for shots in these conditions but it makes it harder to stitch images successfully.

Just for completeness, one looking forward K3, DA 18-250 @ 18. 2:1 crop.

Port Phillip Bay on the right, Bass Straight on the left. Point Lonsdale lighthouse in the distance with the rough water of "The Rip" just in front of the lighthouse.

The stairs from which I took the previous shots barely visible in the middle just above and to the left of the straightish section of road.

The Colosseum in Rome, taken with the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 and stitched in an app on my phone. This is the first time I've used an app to stitch photos on my phone and I have to say it works very well. It takes a while due to the limited CPU power compared to a PC, but it works and allows me to publish stitched photos on Flickr or social media without having to wait until I get home.

From last July.

My mother, checking her phone, in front of the sod house she lived in as a child.

A 7 image panorama, covering about 180° rotation, stitched and edited with Photoshop. Shot with a Pentax k5IIs, and Sigma 16mm Rectilinear Fisheye lens.
