Nothing pseudo about it, panorama refers to the shape (no hard/fast rule but generally means it has a horizontal aspect ratio of 2:1 or larger) not how you got there. Stitching is one way, cropping is another.

Guess this qualifies as a panorama then.

A cropped shot of a Dreamlifter rotating on takeoff. With Mount Rainier in the background.

Certainly, so (technically) so does this:

Interesting in it's own way.

Here's a logical subject for a pano, done by cropping. It's a slime trail left by a snail or slug.

I like the way you did not try to crop it to a "traditional" straight pano as you would have lost so much interesting stuff. It is great as it is.

Precisely why I left it. Using that lens gives some strong distortion up close, and having the areas needed to make it rectangular included would have introduced a bunch of less than interesting things in the composition.

Panorama by crop. Monstro in West Texas, taking a breather. The large round piece on the middle of the wagon is titanium, about 25,000 pounds of it. A solid round bar. On its way to Southern California to be fashioned into airplane parts.

14 landscape frames stitched in Lightroom. Maybe that's why my computer crashed? The original is 51414 X 4195 pixels.
