I hope mono HDRs are allowed.
Nope. You are now banned for life.

That last gorge shot is gorgeous!

Noooooooo!!!!! I hope these will redeem a little and nullify my banishment but I'm not sure if they are really landscape.

By the way Matt, I took a shot of the road we travelled on from Texas to Colorado to S. Dakota. I wanted it to look similar to what you did a while back. I couldn't get it to look as nice as yours so I'll keep trying.

Oh and thanks for this comment. I bought my 21mm to prepare for this trip and I'm glad I got it.

Ok. Complimenting me also helps. I should also mention I have no admin powers here whatsoever so it was just a theoretical ban.

Love the sky & clouds in that 1st one, Joe.

Here's a look down PCH on a cloudy SoCal morning. Shot with a Panasonic P&S - the grain/noise almost makes it look like a film shot:

Some inspiring work posted lately

Wish I could escape the day-to-day grind and do some travelling. The excellent work being displayed here adds fuel to the fire.

Meanwhile, meandering around the yard........

The Tall Grass Prairie of North America

The Tall Grass Prairie of North America perhaps the most productive soil in the entire world.
Looking due West. 800 miles directly west is the Rocky mountains and Yellowstone National Park

2 billion years ago this was part of a gigantic seabed of a shallow warm ocean.
2 million years ago a period of glaciation started.
10000 years ago the glaciers retreated and the buffalo came.
8000 years ago the first humans arrived
200 years ago it was the home of my great Grandmother's people the horse people- the Santee Sioux.
150 years ago my great Grandfather from Germany took this land from my great Grandmother's people.
To this day this land remains within my family.

Just a straightforward shot of exactly what it is no more no less - sky, land, wind and the hawks.
Taken with a K20 and a Sigma 10-20mm 3.5 at 10mm. Handheld full frame. BW conversion through NIK Silver Efex Pro 2
