Took this during my easter trip this year, recently got a 50x75 glossy print of it. It was like christmas came early

Awesome, that is such a good shot--I'd still think about cropping the top 1/5th, though, to take advantage of the Golden Ratio and also get more of that great "negative space"...the curved striations in the snow really make the scene.

Actually, the print is a slightly different edit, more like what you've described. But this was the version i had uploaded on flickr

Taken today at some nearby ponds. Those are cypress roots poking out of the ground. Vivitar 19/3.8
