Ash, that first one is awesome!
Here one more from me. Besides the playing with the individual colour channels in LR, I dodged the sand in the foreground and the shipwreck hut.

A very clever composition - simple yet well arranged and brilliantly rendered.
Awesome, Rense.

Rense, your sandscapes-serie really got me, truly inspirational stuff!
i was digging around in my folders to see if i could find some Monochrome-landscapes, but very few.
i have a passion for b&w photography in general but it seems i take more shots of the urban-landscape.

Oh, shoot--what superb photos! There's a special quality to Dutch seacoast photography, Rense, and these are some of the finest I've seen.

Mel may recognize my contribution from the outing to the Blackwater National Wildlife Preserve.

TeeDee and Dave, thank you both!
Seeing the great examples of Ansel Adams I thought originally
that these flat landscapes were not suitable for B&W. But one has to
try.....

Stratman, you have absolutely photographed my memory of the Elk River in North Carolina--vivid thanks to an amazing day of fishing there! I'm guessing you had a similar experience on the St. Francis?

Well, after taking some photos, I did some fishing, and then the rains came.....

But did manage one decent bass..

Then this..........

It did finally stop raining at about 6:30, and I was able to get some shots at Elephant Rocks state park before it got dark.
