My humble effort at capturing the majesty of the Lake District, this was taken from the shoreline of Ullswater near a little place called Howtown.

It's quite a challenge to make appealing monochrome photos of ordinary Dutch landscapes: they are flat, lack any magnificence (probably except the coast), and they are...well.... dull somehow.... But we keep trying.... It's becoming a kind of quest, over the years....
