Today in the Flinders Ranges.... couldn't get the windmill to face the right way....

I used my Sigma 70-200/2.8 for the shot.... and the vignette is from the film sim in dxo film pack.... I tend to go looking for a film sim that feels/looks right for the scene.

Went back tonight with the 150-450 (and a tripod).... the windmill did an about face.....

About the best 'pose' I could imagine. I prefer the 70mm perspective. I really like the monochrome versions better than the almost-monochrome color ones on Flickr though.

One from tonight.... a bit of dust in the air up this way.... some light coming through broken cloud caught my eye..... 290mm shot with DFA 150-450 on K1... hand held and windy so I cranked up shutter speed thus ISO a fair bit....same windmill....

I think you should pay the windmill better. It is facing the wrong way again.
