I'm impressed~ + 2 on all the praise!

Here are a couple where landscape is human scape -

Ilford XP2, deep red filter, SMC-A 28/2.8, Pgm Plus

Fuji 160S converted to B&W, 1937 Voigtlander Bessa 66 w/uncoated Skopar

K100D, SMC-A 28/2.8

These first two are film prints from the days when I was not sure how to properly handle a scanner. They are a little small and warbly in appearance here:

Rense... I truly believe you were channeling Ansel Adams when you did those Yosemite shots. Absolutely brilliant! The seashore and sheep shots are sweet too!

Nesster... The Buttermilk Falls shots are exquisite! The "human" landscape shots are brutally sharp (and I mean that in a good way).

Stevebrot... Love the composition but I think its a tad dark (at least on my monitor here at work.)

Mel... You already know I enjoy your B&W work Love the damaged tree!

Ash... Very nice... Especially like the windmill shot.

BBluesman... Nice toning! The 3rd one is perfect in it's simplicity!

dadipentak... Dave, I have ,and almost submitted, that same shot (one danger of shooting in packs... LOL)

Bramela... nice graphical elements.

Stratman... nice composition. think it needs a nudge toward the darker side though...

rparmar... beautiful light in the first shot.

Axl... Love the 3rd and 4th shots! great textures.

Asteelo... I'll just repeat the WOWs. Beautiful composition with perfect motion blur!

Nowhere Matt... The toning works nicely in your shots.

virgilr... Fog is extra special isnt it? Really like the way the water just peaks through in the foreground(water) of your shot.

Eaglerapids... Love the lonely mood.

marcinski... such a beautifully stark landscape.

Mike, thanks for the kind words! When I visited Yosemite and made these, I had never heard of mr. Adams.....
And the colour slides are just so-so, but I decided to turn them into B&W's with Ansel Adams in mind.

I am very happy with all the marvellous pictures in this thread, I just love it!!!

After this condo was built I'm been guilty of calling it an eyesore. So then, why do I keep photographing it?
We're settling into greyness here in North Idaho now so a B&W thread fits well.

Here's mine - an old bridge in Nebraska's countryside. This is the site where I did the fieldwork for my masters degree (hydrogeologic computer modeling of bank erosion) about 10 yrs ago... Still looks the same!

K100D, 18-55 kit lens (Mk 1), handheld, converted to B&W in PSE 6. And yes, it was a dark and gloomy day, Friday the 13th!
