Hi Tom!

Nope. The 'ought to go fast' is actually a double meaning here. I figured it would be guessed fast but I may have to widen the crop a bit. The object should go fast as well.

Not a bowling or golf ball...

Not sure how to do the multiple quotes here but, it's smaller than a bowling ball but still black like one. Larger than a golf ball but sand is an interesting guess at the background. Not right, though. The background substance would be another clue.

The background substance really looks white and fluffy like a piece of carpet. I wonder what kind of sports used that kind of carpet...

Ok Tracy, Knowing what you and your daughter are into and the places you tend to get to, How about a Hocky Puck sliding across the ice?? (Just a thought)

You got it! From one of the hockey practices/games that the rink director asked me to photograph last week. She wanted pictures for the rink hockey brochures and to give to the team.
