If you recall, comic Pat Paulsen's campaign slogan was:

" I've upped my standards,

now UP YOURS! "

Long time no chain? Or just what we call West Coast weather. Lots of fog and salt spray and no rain. Can rust overnight to look like your sprocket

It's just a ventilation "cupola" on an old barn, knocked a little out of kilter,

On the 8th hole at Scotland Run Golf Course, if you look closely over the water hazard on the left, you can see an old rusted out crane that was used (and later abandoned) when the golf course was a working quarry. The first picture is from the tee with the Pentax 55-300 set at 55mm, the second photo is a close up of the rusting hulk. The third photo is the rear of the crane from the left side of the 10th fairway. It's rare to see a rusted out intact crane so I was pleased to make its acquaintance.

Hi Merv

If you have a hook shot you maybe able to bounce of the crane back onto the fairway...............if you are good.

Dave: I tend to slice so I stay away from the water hazard, but the crane and its yellow paint are completely gone, it's in perfect rusted condition---on the 18th hole, I found this gem stuck in the hillside dunes off the fairway, another homage to the property's previous life.
