Could be either. I found it during a walk out in the woods, but it was along an old woods road =for logging perhaps, or passing through woods between fields. There are some pretty extensive agricultural fields still worked at one end of the road (mixture of corn and sometimes squash, but sometimes the latter field is left fallow as it is this year. Some hay is also cut in one of the fields along the route we walked. Could be from a stationary machine or some old horse-drawn farm implement as this area has been under cultivation since before the revolution. The shank of the bolt has one obvious area of compressed polish.
