That metal is past its prime, but the plastic square washer also shows some signs of decay. Nice one with the lighting.

Two images of.an anchor (the first one is just a fluke), I guess it;s been pinned down to prevent theft, but it would be a lot of effort to carry for two strong men.

Actually, some anchors will have these extra 'booms' to help them dig in, so it may not be about preventing theft.

Something new to stuff into the vanishing spaces of my memory. Actually, new space is opening as things I used to remember drop out. Seriously, I never heard of nor have seen a stockless, admiralty or fisherman's anchor with such an extra bar at the crown.

You must give me a reference or website if you are able, showing an anchor with such a rod through the crown. My own searches for anchor designs failed to turn up an image or description of such a modification.

This is part of what's left of a tram to an old gold mine, abandoned since the late 1930's I think.

And some of the underground track. Someday I should upload a few more of the underground photos, we've found and explored two of the three mine's that are supposedly up there.

The one with the underground track is very nice. I like the way the rusty tracks stand out from the rocks. Please be careful when exploring those old mines.

I think I saw it in the Shipping Museum in Groningen. I'll check it out and take a picture. Most will indeed have the rod through the top.

Absolutely with you on the safety aspect, we're pretty careful about it. These ones seem pretty stable, but you never really know.

Yes it is fairly new, used to keep barriers in place for the parking at a local Park

Remnants of Industrial America, Kovalchick Salvage Corporation, Indiana Pennsylvania. I'm fifty four years old and these pieces of equipment have been there my entire life.

***The date in the EXIF is incorrect. The clock not working. Taken 12 December 2021 just after 9am EST.

That's a nice set. I like the way the dry grass complements the colours of the rusted machinery int he last image.
