I'm gonna be thinking of this one when I ride the bullet train in the morning . Great rust blooms.

Woof,
Nice image and nice to see you here.
Thank you. I've been enjoying yours... the one of the statue... what is the story there?

Another Chevy... the owner's demise in this case spelled the end for this car...

That is a statue of Chiang Kai Shek-the former Genralissimo and President of the Republic of China and (on Taiwan). This particular one is in a park that commemorates big battle between the CKS led forces against mainland China. There are battle ship, fighter jet and tank parts in that park.

Dead Boiler: Rust Sculpture

Dead Boiler: Onnet

Dead Boiler: Cable

Now these are scary, as they are photos of the boiler that was heating our house when we moved in. And an oil boiler to boot, so the smell of fumes was everywhere. I was scared even to turn the thing on, but the previous owner had had it running.

One of the first things we did was replace the entire system with natural gas heating. Now I don't worry about being exploded in my sleep.

Follow them through to Flickr for a whole boiler series.

I shot a bit of rust, on the rooftop, when I was living in a box apartment in China. Guangzhou has plenty of rain which = lots of rust. I thought these shots would never find a home. Nice idea Mark!
These, and the previous ones, were taken in the first month of my DSLR ownership. Fond memories.
