Nope, it's Hurst Castle just along the coast
The image below shows the rear of the fortification and some of the Armoured wall inserts that run from there and around the south sea facing side.

Thanks - I spent my teen years in Portsmouth. The fortifications there are quite a bit older than the 19th century. I've been to Hurst Spit, but a long time ago.

Even if rust never sleeps it's going to take a very long time to reduce this bolt to crumbly russet scraps.
