Rust is Everywhere

I usually don't look for rust, but this is a fun thread--and if I must say so, "rust" is very photogenic

It's not the rust that limits this shovel's usefulness; it's the cross-wise crack in the center of the blade, which it got when it had but little rust on it. Still, it's good for light-duty tasks.

Focused on the washer. Not sure how well this worked.

Glad you discovered "rust." Somehow it's evocative of someone in the past building something intended to last, but best laid plans fall to entropy. Sometimes it also calls to mind life-as-it-was, or lingers as a reminder of major events.. But, this too shall pass away.

So true...saw this old DeSoto for sale....even in its rusted out, decrepit condition, it was still commanding attention:

I'll bet he held the camera way over his head and jumped up.

Lol. Looks like a drone shot but he used a Pentax DSLR. Hmmm...

Thanks pbancr. The shot was taken from a small aircraft on the approach to Stanley Airport. The Falklands Government has an air taxi service using Britten Norman Islanders to move people and supplies from one island/remote settlement to another. Wikipedia gives an interesting history of the ship.
