Yup, and those cars are a rare sight on the roads these days. Back in the mid-80s I owned a '71 Ranchero with the Torino body style - and there weren't that many around even then. TFS!

Yeah... looking at my savings and feeling sad. Gorgeous vehicle... I do not even want to own one; I'd be happy with a Sunday test shot!

Hi Racer

I can see some similar lines to our Ford xa. xb coupes of the 70's

Channeled? It looks a bit squashed.

Brings back memories. My Ranchero had the same exact front end (minus the hood scoop and GT emblem). The only Ford I ever owned...

Nope.

Lowered some. And the front fenders, grille and lower valance have been welded together, the front bumper removed. There are a number of very subtle custom touches all around, but it is basically stock. Even the engine is fairly mild, although the internals have been breathed on a bit.

And the paint is the first gen Camaro color called Hugger Orange.

Check out the door detail. An authentic GM door sticker, just like when new.

But the fasteners holding the door card aren't stock.

The seat upholstery is nice, but again, not original.

The engine and engine bay are close, but not quite stock.

Back to the Past?

These were taken last week in Forney. There is a guy who works on them and also carries parts. The "new De Lorean motor Car Company" is out of Humble, Tx. They have been working these back into production for quite some time now. Hopefully with an improved performance drivetrain

This guy was featured on (if I recall correctly) My Classic Car a while back.

Pretty cool what he is doing.
