A wonderful shot, ski. I wonder how you managed to get down so low to take the photograph. What is the actual color of the vehicle? I am guessing yellow, Perhaps.

Thanks for uploading a boatload of fun memories.

Thank you, I am glad that you enjoyed it. The original car is a beautiful silver.

Many thanks Albert. A lot of serendipity about a shot like this. The light and the cool/warm balance make it IMO.

Great shots in this thread of some aircraft I will likely never see up close.

So, in that spirit... I'm posting this photo as a historical document for small aircraft fans, not because it is an outstanding image.

An image of the Cessna EC-1 airframe at the Reynolds Museum in Wetaskiwin, Alberta along with the info sign.

Hi Yeoldpentaxian

I don't think too many new planes can be transported on your roof racks these days

I'd be curious to know the time you had to prep and take that shot... seen my self in that situation (boarding the plane), and it goes so fast (but treacherously slow at the same time)

For some reason we were backed up and I happened to be standing at that spot waiting and we were in the last "boarding group" so there may have been no one behind me being the gentleman that I am . Every leg of that trip it seemed like were the last ones on the plane. I told my wife that they must have created a special boarding group just for us and always dead last

The sweet spot is the middle groups - you still have space in the overheads, and do not have to wait seat another 30 mins until take off.

Train tracks at the train station at Valley Forge, PA. This is right next to the site of Washington's headquarters. As I stood there I thought, "why didn't Washington and his troops just take a train?"
