Unintentional shadow selfie taken while shooting my VW Baja Bug and Kawasaki in 1987 or so. Scan from a print.

Every winter I dream of hearing Mr. Softee's music playing in the street... Every summer (spring actually...) I get tired of it by the second week.

Yes Edom I agree. The Mr. Softee music becomes a 'brain worm'--dadadadda--dadada--dadada dada.....OH NO!! I hear it now...It's only February.

They had so much snow at the Big Shed they rented one of these:

(not my photo)

And have a dozen front end loaders and dump trucks moving snow. Some of it is being stockpiled in one of the employee parking lots, the pile is about 4 stories high now, and covers about 4 acres of parking lot.

I'm not a car guy, but my limited research suggests this Bel Air is from 1962-1964. I only got a couple of shots before a truckload of locals suggested I should leave. SMC Takumar 55 f/2 on a Fujifilm X-T20 body.
A 1963 Chevy Belair 2 door, post sedan. There is a small chevron on the front fender that indicates it had a 283 cubic inch Chevy small block V8. Probably the 2 barrel carburettor version with 195 horse power.

Yes, but the Tsawwassen ferry is awesome at sunset.

Gotta love a fisheye. :-)

I took that ferry once so I cannot really remember the scenery. The Tsawwassen to Victoria ferry ride is beautiful as it winds it's way through many an island. The horseshoe bay to Nanaimo ride; not so much.

But it's faster if you are going to Nanaimo (or in our case, Gabriola: 20 minutes on another ferry from downtown Nanaimo).
