I'd take a TR6, but they don't fit tall people so well. I almost bought one and the top of the windshield frame was right in my line of sight. Closing the door meant squishing my leg against the steering wheel. It was a sad day, that day. It was almost mine.

Really? how tall are you? I'm right around six feet even, and I am quite comfy in me 64 Spitfire.

Hastings, Nebraska, at the corner of South Street & Denver Avenue.

My lens tends to point towards rusty things! Hastings is a great town, and is thriving! I'm just really good at finding the rough side of town.

Edit: Not that it matters, but hastings is very close to being dead center of the United States, if you ignore Alaska and Hawaii.

Northrop Gamma named "Polar Star". Dents forward of the wing are from a rough landing on ice.

Modified 1930 Lockheed Vega named "Winnie Mae", flown by Wiley Post on record-setting flights in 1931 and 1933 (first to solo around the world).

Turner RT-14 Meteor. It placed third in the 1937 Thompson Trophy race and won in 1938 and 1939.

Modified Grumman F8-F Bearcat racer named "Conquest I". In 1977 it beat the 30-year old speed record for a piston-powered plane at 483 MPH, and won the National Air Races 6 times.

Sharp DR 90 Nemesis racer. It won 45 of 48 races, and had 16 speed records for its class.

X-15 flew in excess of Mach 6.7 or 4,500 MPH.

Ryan NYP named..."Spirit of St Louis". Charles Lindberg flew it across the Atlantic in 1927.

B-29 Super Fortress named.. "Enola Gay" which dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan.

Hey now! Shooting at either of the Air & Space museums is cheating.
