Nice photos, Mark! I'll have to visit there sometime. I hadn't known it was there. I could get there on my bike.

I'm sure that plane wouldn't seem so simple even now if one were to take it apart, but it's true, modern planes are incredibly complex. I love seeing their inner workings, and I had a good time visiting the Evergreen Aviation museum in Oregon two years ago. All the hoses, wires, and actuators just boggle my mind. And all of these planes are at least a half century old!

Luckily just a reflection in the lens, as Mom was taking a break behind it.

Scratchpaddy, if you get the chance, it's well worth the visit to the museum... especially if they happen to be flying any of their collection when you are there. We were lucky the day we were there. They had just pulled their B-17 (Sentimental Journey) out of the hanger after some extended maintenance. While we were there, they started and ran up the engines for the first time and took off for the first time after the end of the maintenance. I got to try out the video capability of my K-3II for the first time. I posted a couple of the videos showing the engine start and the take-off on YouTube. The links are below, if you are interested.

Wow, I didn't know the CAF actually keeps their collection in flying condition - not just museum pieces. That's an incredible accomplishment! I'll definitely pay them a visit sometime. Thanks for the introduction.
