Vivitar Series 1 19-35mm 3.5-4.5
Digger derrick.
The mounted equipment (boom) is an Altec unit (can't see it well enough to tell what model). The electric utility I worked at for 30 years had a fleet of that type of equipment. Not long before I "retired" they replaced the single screw (axle) digger derricks with twin screw truck chassis, to legally carry all the weight they ran at (around 40,000lbs).
Here is one on a lift for maintenance:
And a double elevator manlift: The lift sits on an "elevator" that raises the turret about 60 feet. Then the upper two booms raise the bucket another 55 feet (to the bottom of the bucket). The bed of the truck is about 5 feet off the ground, so fully raised the unit is 120 feet up in the air.
Oh, and the upper boom is fiberglass, the second boom has a midsection that is also fiberglass, to electrically insulate the bucket from the ground, so the ride in the bucket is like hanging at the end of a fly rod.
