Did you know that the "Ford" name and badge appear nowhere on a Mustang? The only emblem is the pony. 'Nuff said, neh?

True for the early Mustangs. I’m not sure when it was added, but this 1989 Mustang Police Special has one in the grille, typical of the Mustangs of that era.

SCAN. I'm not sure that either of these boats were still functional when photographed decades ago. They're along Chesapeake and I suspect they were used to harvest oysters, other shellfish and crabs.

Forgive the correction, but those are wheel covers, originally used on late model Ford pickups and vans.

Notice there are seven “lug nuts” ( actually, Ford did manufacture some pickups with seven real lug nuts, weirdest thing I ever saw). The Chevy pickup should have either five or six lug nuts.

Unusual wheel. Looks like a chain, wrapped around the hub.

Back when I worked at a body shop, my boss called those "bastard trucks."

Despite its battered condition, I suspect this little boat is regularly used to fetch up crustaceans. The traps are in better condition than the boat.

A number of vessels at the dock in Cowichan Bay, August 2007.

Donna Marie, the canoe stern power cruiser, was built at Deep Cove, BC in 1938. Red cedar on white oak frames, still registered and afloat in 2020.

I wonder if the tourists wearing horned helmets feel as silly as they look.
