We see a lot of those here in Sparwood. Coal trains from 4 mines to the port in Tsawwassen.

A slide scan of an image from Edmonton, Alberta taken by my grandfather during the summer of 1962. I suspect they were staying at the hotel as he quite commonly included shots like that in his travel slides, but I'm posting this because I thought folks might enjoy looking at the old vehicles from that era.

A selection of photo scans of boats (or in this case ships) from Princess Louisa Inlet in 2003. I believe that most of the softness is due to the constant rain we had during our stay but have to track down the negatives to see if I can produce something better. The first two images are the Pacific Grace and Pacific Swift from S.A.L.T.S. (Sail and Life Training Society). The last two are of the Mystic, a 150 foot vessel - one image of Mystic following the Grace and Swift out to make slack tide at Malibu Rapids, and one image of the Mystic off the starboard bow of our sailboat stern tied to shore to give another sense of scale.
