Good thinking

Back to terra firma, then.

I would say it's the most relaxing thing I've done in many years. So much good food to pick from and never any cleaning up to do. Every stop is already set so there's no need to make any plans once you're on the boat. The people were all friendly, everybody's usually in a good mood, and those that look like they're not, you can just ignore.

And I got to see some beautiful places I'd probably never see otherwise... for the price (and considering the in-laws made it possible ) I'd say I have absolutely no regrets

We took a Vancouver BC to Alaska USA cruise for our 25th, and it was wonderful.

I wasn't trying to persuade anyone to share my own quirky travel biases, of course. The ports of call could make a great deal of difference, even to me.

Hey, it's got potential.

Nothing a bit of drydock time wouldn't fix. And a bunch of new everything.

Might not be my idea of traveling or vacationing.

But it might be a fun way to make an around the world cruise, hitting a dozen or so major ports, in as many historical places as possible.

No. Different program.

The program I work in builds a bigger airplane. We built one of these the other day.

And we've built a few of these lately.

And one of these (we will be building a lot more of these, they placed an order for a bunch of them recently).

What model planes are those? The Emirates aircraft appears to be some version of 777, but what are the other two?

The Emirates and the FedEx are 777F freighters. Notice they don’t have windows.

The United Airlines is a 777-300ER. Notice the windows the full length of the plane.

I wonder when certain Irish airlines will start ordering F models
