Those truck beds and tailgates really come in handy, especially when all of the other horizontal space is covered up with other stuff

I even use my pickup bed and tailgate to work on the lights in the carport. A lot less hassle than digging out the stepladder.

BD5J, N21AP, at Paine Field, 1981. A search of the FAA N number registry shows this airplane is still registered and has a current airworthiness certificate.

Shot on Kodachrome, with a Ricoh XR2S, with a Pentax M40-80mm zoom lens.

Copied with a Pentax K5IIs, and A50mm f1.7 lens with a Pentax Auto Bellows M and Slide Copier For Auto Bellows M.

A few shots from the Coppell TX carshow in September. This is a rare (I believe) 150-series 1953 Chevy Handyman, the first I've ever seen. DA16-45 on K10D:

I'd say because of the tail lights the convertible is a mid 60's Chevy Impala (65 or 66).
A '65 Impala - '66 was the year without round taillights.

And here is a pic of the German Corvette Oldenburg

lots of interesting planes, missiles, drones etc. at the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum in Nebraska

Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum

one of the most interesting to me is the B 25N Mitchell double engine bomber on display modified to reflect the B 25B Mitchell which was the version used for the Doolittle Raid over Tokyo in April of 1942

https://www.history.navy.mil/browse-by-topic/wars-conflicts-and-operations/w...ttle-raid.html

one of the interesting modification to save weight on the planes launched from the aircraft carrier east of Japan was the removal of the machine guns covering the rear of the plane and their replacement by broom sticks

this info and photo of the actual planes confirms that:

NH 53290 Doolittle Raid on Japan, 18 April 1942

as you walk into the museum, you are " greeted " by the "Blackbird "

The Lockheed Martin SR-71 Blackbird | Military Machine

https://www.sr-71.org/blackbird/

https://www.sr-71.org/blackbird/sr-71/

IMHO, the most bad *ss plane I ever saw

as I understand it, it leaked fuel like a sieve until it reached sufficient speed for the heat of the friction forced the expansion of the metal to seal the leaks
