But.
Working 30 years as a truck mechanic at an electric utility I wore a similar harness thousands of times. The linemen also wore harnesses like that.
But very rarely did anyone wear them all the time. Once it is on, movement becomes quite limited. Sitting down can cause a man's voice to raise an octave or two (for reasons we can all understand, right?
) when the leg straps pull up tight. Plus, sitting down will let one know where every buckle is, including the lanyard that connects to the ring at the middle of the back, again, quite uncomfortable.
