In my earlier years (my 40's) I bought myself a Fiat 850 Spider for a toy. When I bought it, it was Fiat rust red and seems to have been invisible in Vancouver BC fog. It was rear ended twice (yes, my brake lights worked!). Since all the go stuff was in the back, that was rather annoying. The second time was enough for my insurance to repaint the whole vehicle Corvette Yellow. Very much like the colour of that Ferrari. (Well, they are both Italian ...)
A friend of mine had an 850 Spyder that he transplanted an engine from a Fiat 124 into.

The 124 is front engine, rear drive, 2 liter I believe.

That little 850 was a screaming little monster.

the insurance company forced the color change ?

or was convinced to pay for your choice of color change ?

nice car

I always liked the idea of a two seater but it wasn't until 2014 that I finally bought something similar ( Audi 2015 A5 ) that wasn't " practical " ( 4 door or SUV )

I had fun with it even if it didn't fly (in the air).

I would be afraid of driving a car on the highway that wasn't a great deal larger than my coffin.

I requested the change, and the cost was the same either way. I have a copy of an English magazine with the same colour for the tested model. It was a great fun machine.

Some of us like little British cars. Some day my 68 midget will be back on the road with a super charged over bored alcohol burning engine. While not as small as I originally wanted I convinced the wife to let me get it as it is about twice the size of the car I actually wanted for a project which she said no to.
