You could always cover your car with suede -- it would be a neat way to be different.

Living on a river requires owning, and using kayaks.

Two Old Town Dirigo 14 footers, with Werner carbon fiber paddles.

We take them on local lakes too. A great way to spend a sunny day.

There is a product called Alcantara, a fabric that looks like suede, but is more durable and can conform to complex shapes. It is used in exotic sports racing prototype cars to finish the interiors. I want to see if I can get some and cover the instrument panel and console in one of the 280Z's I have.

We just went with some friends in Atlanta, so I'm guessing Atlanta Speedway?

Interesting. Rural areas in Georgia look a lot like the rural areas here.

Labrador. Recently changed hands and rechristened the Labradoodle.

My little car on my last road trip, last year, on Highway 62 in California.

I miss road tripping up to see my family each summer and over the holidays. I drove about 30 miles two months ago to buy something from a guy on Craigslist, and that was the furthest I've driven all year.

Nice composition, the back lighting really sets the car off.

Never seen one before, but I see the Mitsubishi symbol. Did you add the dayglo wheel covers?

Thanks, Racer! It's a Mirage, so maybe that's why you've never really seen one.

It's my first new car. I've always liked small cars, and it's one of the smallest, cheapest cars you can buy in the US. 3-cylinder engine, 74 horsepower, barely 2,000lb. I didn't like the hubcaps it came with (looked like a rental car), so I added chrome trim rings and designed and printed some center caps of my own. The first set was black, but such a small car already looks silly surrounded by the lifted trucks and SUV's everyone drives around here. So I printed a new set, in yellow.

Possibly the last of an era

A train Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad locomotives passes on of the many farms between Homer City and Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on the first afternoon of fall 2020. The 40 mile route primarily serves a large, coal fired electricity generating plant in Homer City. The plant has now closed indefinitely.
The locomotives were used in coal handling activities at the Homer City plant. A sad photo shoot for me.
