Planes in the hangar at North State Aviation. Three Americans on this side, two Uniteds and an American on the other. The parking lot is jammed, they are busier than I have ever seen them. Lots of people hard at work at high-paying jobs, the airlines are scrambling to get every jet in the sky. Looking forward to seeing these big boys fly. Go look for yourself and post a picture. I enjoyed looking at the photos. If you have other pix of vintage Czech vehicles, I would be interested in seeing them posted.
Here’s one I took during a visit to Prague a few years ago:

The car is a Praga (or Praha), which, no surprise, is Czech for Prague.

No, sorry. I was just visiting this museum and I am not from Chech Republic, so no way for me to get there with pandemic restrictions. But if I get some I'll post them and ping you

Jawa was cool, had one myself. Engine was great when compared to Polish/Russian equivalent. All in all Czechoslovakian motorization is greatly underrated, they have great history even during communism times Skodas were something else compared to rest of cars from eastern block.

Czech vehicles...Skoda..Tatra cars and heavy trucks...Jawa/CZ motorcycles... were a level ahead of most other communist made vehicles, although the East German MZ motorcycles were quite good.

Thx again for posting those pix.

Since we're doing nostalgia, here are a couple from a car show at Fairchild a few years ago. A 1911 White (with an oil leak) and a 1960 'vette

Both of them are beautiful, although I lean towards the White, oil leak and all.

Thanks. The White was definitely impressive, that's for sure. There were some other interesting cars that day, including a whole bunch of Corvettes of many different vintages (the local 'vette club, I believe), but it was almost impossible to get decent images of them, there were just too many people crowding around, wandering into the shot, oblivious of the 'togs trying to get a decent shot sans bodies in the way. We might have been able to do better if we had arrived much earlier, before the crowd, but we really didn't know what to expect. Next time -- if there is a next time -- we'll know better!
