How about some Hydroplanes. From last weekend's Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta. Taken with my K-3 III using a DA* 60-250mm mounted on a Pentax HD 1.4X Teleconverter.

The Commemorative Air Force brought its ultra rare Boeing B-29 Superfortress "FIFI", Consolidated B-24 A Liberator " Diamond Lil" and a Stearman PT-17 biplane trainer to the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe Pennsylvania September 8-11.
I used my KP, DA 18-135, 55-300PLM, HD 1.4X and also DA*300/4. The yellow and red plane is a Cessna 172 built in 1956, the jet, a 2020 built Embraer SA EMB 545.

Arriving. The "Vermonter" is an AmTrak train, Washington DC to St. Albans in northern Vermont, with stops near me in Springfield, Holyoke and Northampton. We took it from New York City to Northampton where a few days before we left our car.

Two of a kind -- a 1928 Ford Mdl A and a Pietenpol Air Camper. Both with original 40 hp Ford engines. The Piet's an EAA (Chapter 734) award winning home built acft including the hand carved prop. Read the logo on the acft carefully.

Here we have a home-made wooden dory, plywood sheathing on cut frames. These are easy to build but strong, and with the high freeboard, they can carry a load. I admire how the builder offset the captain's seat to starboard to allow the engine tiller to pass by, and also to let the captain see past the passengers on the bench seat. In my opinion, a nice boat, and I would enjoy building one like it if I ever get the chance. Super Takumar 35/3.5.

A classic, almost legendary American car commonly called a "woody." The crop of the rear quarter window to show the stickers, which might be original to the car, not added later for "atmosphere."
