Post your 2009 fave animal shot (pet or wild)

I'm missing those "best of 2009 ..." threads, so here's one that I hope everybody has something to contribute to. All the best in 2010 !

Nice shot, georgweb. Such clarity. It was tough for me to choose one, but I went with this little guy.

Awesome squirrel Shot. In a world full of cats, dogs and squirrels, it is good to see one that is really good to me.
I did not shoot many animals this year, but will take a look and see if I have any.

Wow Georg, that's a fantastic shot. And a great idea for a thread.

Sealonsf - too cute!

Daacon - I have to avoid that image with my wife around, she's been hounding me for a pug for years. Great capture.

I didn't get a lot of good animal shots in this year, but this is my favorite:

Love the squirrels. Chipmunks are my favorite little critters, and this fellow is the happiest one I know:

Tamia, that is a very cute shot! Who knew that they could stuff their mouths so full?

Thanks much, Jim. I call him Sir Ed (after Sir Edmund Hillary) because he loves climbing trees. The higher the better. I've counted 8 inshell hazlenuts collected in those cheeks with one in the mouth. Sir Ed is so cute I made a Christmas card to send to relatives. So for all of you, here he is, and just imagine it says Happy New Year!

Ok, I shot these yesterday at the beach. These would be my favs of the year which shows how few animals I shot. In fact if not for this thread, I would not have shot even these. I am glad I did as it rekindled how much I have enjoyed shooting wildlife and for that gift, I thank you Georg...

All shot with the K20D and DA*50-135

a pelican shot I actually like.

Found this family of coons that took away the food from some wild cats..Of course there is a sign that reads..Do not feed the wildlife that includes cats. lol

A sea enemy

A gull eating a Halibut (90-98% crop, bad quality, but I like the shot)
