A bit too many ripples for a really good reflection.

some times, shooting through a glass window of the enclosure, you get lucky and have little or no reflection. I have been told, never tried it yet, that using a polarizer filter can help very much

but sometimes you end up liking the reflection (although you might be the only one to do so )

This is one of the two adult female Borneo Orangutans at the Topeka Zoological Park, the "aunt" of the young male. She is quite dependable and loves to get up often touching the glass window. She often actively interacts with those observing her.

Note that the reflection caught some of the photographer and how that causes the image of the face to "jump" out at the viewer

[ due to the large number of kids observing the animal, I could not get in my "usual" position nor was I free to move as I wish - Kids take priority at the zoo for me. I knew I was getting more reflections than I usually do but I followed the old photographic rule - when in doubt, take the darn shot, you know you will have 0 % of a good result if you don't even try ]

I hope you like it and find it interesting

I present:

the long rumoured and seldom documented clam shell turtle Testudines bivalvia

????? [ some authorities identify it as Bivalvia testudines ] ?????

some argue that it is a living example of the theory of evolution.

Are you sure those aren't siamese-twin turtles, joined at the butt?
