That's a stunning image! Where is it located?

I was going to post his over in the BIF thread but I haven't posted an image here in a while and I thought it fit just as well.
Thank you. It's in Dunn Peak protected area in central BC. About 100 km north of Kamloops. That's a pretty awesome shot of the bird landing on water too, the timing is excellent.

Great timing! And framing, not to mention exposure and focus. Nicely done.
Thanks! The camera being able to shoot 8 frames a second gets most of the credit for the timing.

Thanks! The timing was mostly due to the rapid fire shutter.

I visited Kamloops years ago and skied at Tod Mountain but have never been farther north.

The turn off to the Todd Mountain road from the main highway is pretty close to where I live. They renamed the ski resort up there Sun Peaks about 25 years ago or so to attract more tourists, but most of the times I've been up there, that's been a lie. It's crazy how much it's grown, it's pretty much a town instead of a ski hill now.
