Pedestrain bridge in Gibbons Park over the Thames River, London (Ontario, Canada)

No, there are no gibbons in this park, which I think is disappointing.

Whangarei Town basin, Northland NZ - two bridges 5 metres apart across the Hatea River. The new one is now a pedestrian bridge but was built to support vehicle entry to the city - no longer needed as infrastructure elsewhere has lowered the demand on this direct route.

Other side of new bridge with non standard usage:

Was the arched one the original? I like that one better.

Yes, the bridge was constructed around 1923, but is no longer in service due to structural issues. The city would like to turn it into a highline park (like NYC's), but can't seem to determine the best way to preserve it. Each side has been fenced and closed off to access, and there is no longer a road at either end.

Hopefully it can be either a highline or a simple pedestrian/bicycle bridge - looks gorgeous. They do not build like they used to anymore. Architecture now is either boring or eclectic.
