Thanks and yeah, I really wondered if it was going to survive that.....the platform I was standing on to take that shot was rumbling beneath my feet. Crazy stuff

We went to Ohio last week and and on the way back pulled off to a scenic overlook on the West Virginia Turnpike (I-77), this is the I-77 bridge over the Bluestone River.

Broadway Bridge (red) and Fremont Bridge (distant arch), from the Steel Bridge over the Willamette.

Steel Bridge, so named because wrought iron was more common at the time it was built (1912). Its two decks carry pedestrian, bicycle, car, light rail, and heavy rail traffic.
