In a word, yes. Far in along a winding dirt road to, as I remember the name, Cade's Cove, now a national park of some kind.
Yes Cades Cove is part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The foot bridges you pictured are actually built and installed by the park service! They vary in sturdiness depending on their age and available materials for the bridges. Sometimes the handrail is missing and you have to balance to get across!!! Not fun with a swift creek below!

The Surf City Bridge dominates the landscape crossing from the mainland to Topsail Island. I understand the park to the right in the photos is underwater right now due to the tropical storm.

Another minimal bridge. M making use of it, Tralee braving and tasting the torrent below it. Tralee had only two months left at this point, but we never suspected she was nearing the end.

I've posted all these images of an old RR bridge before, mostly on other threads, but maybe they'll find a different audience here.

A new bridge wearing Autumn color. Part of a handicap accessible trail along a local pond, with a few bridges and a few observation platforms. The trail circles the entire lake, but only part of it is handicap accessible because of major topography challenges on the far side, but there is an old woodland trail, and some sketchy-looking old bridges. There is a cable "railing" to guide vision-impaired walkers, with informative signs both printed and in braille. A really worthwhile project.

You might be able to spot a sign on top of the railing at left. It tells us that the ephemeral flow under the bridge, starting on higher ground to the right, is the extreme head water of a stream that eventually flows into the Connecticut River off to the west.

A very pretty New England Autumn scene. Wonderful capture and many thanks not only for the treat but also the memories.

This is the bridge on I-40 over Jonathan Creek in Western North Carolina at the beginning of the Pigeon River gorge. It is purported to be the highest bridge on the entire length of I-40!! Due to the extremely rough terrain in the gorge, engineers did not want to build the interstate through here originally! To accomplish this ultimately required 3 tunnels, and blasting large sections of mountainsides! Every few years we have a rockslide which closes some of the interstate for a while, but usually just one direction.

Trestle rail bridge in Parry Sound, Ontario. This is the longest trestle in Canada, east of the Rockies:
