The Eads Bridge in St. Louis is somewhat of a sister bridge to the Brooklyn Bridge, both built concurrently. The pier construction was a similar technique, using wooden "caissons" that were sunk into the river bed. Of course the structures are different, the Brooklyn being cable suspension and the Eads being arched steel frames.

A bit distant but two bridges on the Firth of Forth. Looking South from the Ochils, the range of hills onthe horizon is the Pentlands between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

K3II and a DA*50-135mm lens.

Thanks for looking,

Ralph

If the last post was too distant, these are just too close... Kosciuszko Bridge conecting Queens and Brooklyn:

SMC Tak 35/3.5:

A 50/1.4

BW of one of the towers - Super Tak 135/3.5:

The bridge is still under construction (there was a lot of white light from below/around due to construction going on at night). The end result will feature 4 towers that will interlace at the midpoint. Also, the bridge changes colors, it is not me adding anything artificial there.
