Yes, it's got that "bunker" look going for it. The round overhanging thing is supposed to be a lookout over the river it crosses. There's one on either side.

Here are some bridges from today:

Railway overpass. Mind your head if you're over 4.1 meters tall.

Pedestrian bridge (with bonus pedestrian):

View from above pedestrian bridge showing two more bridges:

And another chunk o' cement:

The infamous "Burnside's Bridge" at Antietam Battlefield. Antietam was a fierce battle fought during America's Civil War. General Burnside kept trying to force his troops over this bridge in the face of murderous gunfire from Confederate troops. Some 400 men held up thousands of Union troops for hours. Turns out that about a kilometer away was a place where his troops could have walked across the stream and outflanked this position.

Thanks! While I enjoy looking at other people's "artistic" tonemaps, I just try to use HDR as a tool when my camera can't capture the full range of a scene. In this case, either the bridge was dark or the sky was bright white, so I figured an HDR was appropriate, and I was satisfied with the results.
While browsing the posts, I am always learning. HDR is something I need to try. Often I have super contrast in a scene and I cannot get a good photo. Thanks for the inspiration.

gaweidert, the second shot is a nice variation on the typical gushing water going over the upper falls of the park. I do like the look of the new bridge. I have strong memories of shooting down at the upper falls from the old one, and a train coming along! I waited until the train went by, then promptly left!
