I'll second all the preceding comments and observe that the composition and exposure capture the beauty, serenity, and also the sheltered, isolated security provided by the church, as if the massive walls could keep out all the troubles of the World.

No one said to only post pictures of still functioning churches, did they?

Between rural depopulation and a shift away from organized religion, my part of the world has hundreds of abandoned churches.

Sad. Were not our parents and grand parents generally of stronger moral fiber? There is a “church” here in Miami that holds 5 services on Sunday in a rented school auditorium. The place is packed for most services. Most in attendance are under 35! There is hope. Give a good message and it will be received.
