The area famous for being settled by Welsh miners, who worked in copper mines. The Methodists there were quite impacted by the Welsh Revival, in Wales, of a bit over a century ago.

Coober Pedy is an opal mining town.

Yes. It has the clean, neat, practical, simple but elegant look of so much Scandinavian-modern design.

A rather more humble church. It started life as a mission house in 1887 and became a church in 1900.

Interior of Washington National Cathedral. I can't wait to return, this place is magnificent and offers so many great angles and subject for photos.

I agree Rob, I was there 5 years ago and realized I never posted any photos, so here's a few, the interior photos really show me how much better the KP is in low light compared to the K-30 these were shot with, but that K-30 was a great camera, I shot right through a downpour with the K-30 and 18-136.:

I consider this first trip a site survey, especially because the Aperture I chose to use limited my DOF too much, and because I went with several friends so I felt a bit rushed, I really like to walk around a space more than once, usually clockwise and then the reverse to get a better idea of the angles. I can't wait to return, fortunately I am often in the area so I should not have to wait too long to do so.
